Ruth ended a 37-year career at a major Dallas law firm as both a legal secretary and administrative assistant in the executive department at Winstead PC. When she relocated to Walker County, her focus shifted to charitable and civic causes. Ruth, who is a Rotarian and church volunteer, collects donations in TGR for multiple nonprofits and coordinates various blood drives throughout the year.

Ruth resides in Texas Grand Ranch.
